Books open at 09:00 on the 1st of each month. Ana is usually placing new pieces about six weeks out. Juno takes one client a day and that list often fills the same morning — if it does you roll onto the following month automatically and you do not have to ask twice.

No. There are two of us, one client at a time, and the drawing is done before you arrive. There is also no phone in the studio — everything goes through email so nothing gets lost mid-session.

It secures the date and pays for drawing time, which happens whether or not you turn up. It comes off the final price — it is not an extra charge. Move the appointment with 48 hours’ notice and it moves with it, once.

Please do. Attach them to the enquiry email — the form itself takes no uploads on purpose, so your photographs are not sitting in a database somewhere. We will draw your version rather than copy someone else’s line for line.

Because we space the lines for the healed version rather than the photograph on the day. Ink spreads slightly in living skin for the first year or so. Work that looks perfect the moment it is finished is often work that will close up later.

Around 4mm of letter height for script, and about 3cm across for a drawing with any interior detail. Below that we will tell you it will not read in five years, and we will not do it. It is the single most common thing we turn down.

Fingers, hands, feet, the inner wrist, elbows and knees, and the hairline. The skin either turns over too fast or folds all day. We publish healed photographs of exactly these placements in the gallery so you can judge for yourself rather than take our word for it.

Single-needle work is a thinner, hotter scratch than a traditional machine rather than a duller one. Ribs, sternum and ankle are the ones people mention. Most of our sessions are under two hours, which matters more than the placement.

No swimming, baths, saunas or steam for 14 days. No proper sweating for 5 days. Showers are fine from day one. Sun is what actually destroys fine line work — SPF50 on it forever, not just while it heals.

The first one, yes, booked between six and twelve weeks. After a year a retouch is charged at the normal rate, because by then we are correcting how your skin healed rather than how we tattooed it.
