What it costs

The numbers, before you ask.

Published in full. Studios that hide the rate are usually about to quote you differently depending on how much you seem to want it.

Minimum charge

£160

Covers anything up to ninety minutes, which is most small pieces. It exists because the setup, the needle and the sterile field cost the same for a 3cm sprig as for a half sleeve.

After that

£140/hr

Charged in fifteen-minute steps, not rounded up to the hour. If we finish early you pay for what we used.

Deposit

£50

Secures the date and comes off the final price — it is not an extra charge. Move the date with 48 hours’ notice and it moves with it, once.

What the price includes

  • The consultation, however long it takes.
  • The drawing, done by hand at actual size, plus two rounds of changes.
  • The stencil, moved as many times as you need before we start.
  • The first touch-up, booked six to twelve weeks after.
  • A printed aftercare sheet you can actually read.

What it does not

  • A second touch-up, or any retouch after twelve months — by then we are correcting how your skin healed, not how we tattooed it.
  • Reworking somebody else’s tattoo beyond what fine line can honestly fix.
  • Tips. The price on the drawing is the price.

We will quote before we start, never after.

You get the figure with the drawing, in writing, before the deposit is due. If the piece changes on the day, the price changes before the needle does.
